New Feature: OBS Remote Control for MAWi Video Walls

We are excited to introduce a new capability designed especially for control rooms, NOCs, SOCs, command centers, and other mission-critical video wall environments.

With the new OBS Remote web app integration, operators can control what appears on the MAWi video wall directly from any browser-based interface on the local network. This allows teams to switch between dashboards, monitoring systems, camera feeds, maps, alerts, browser-based tools, applications, and live operational content without needing to access the main OBS computer.

OBS Studio acts as a powerful live content layer, making it possible to capture and organize almost any type of visual source, including websites, software applications, video feeds, presentations, media files, DWG viewers, and technical dashboards. MAWi then handles the distribution and display of that content across the video wall.

Using the OBS Remote web app, operators can switch between prepared OBS scenes in real time from a laptop, tablet, or workstation. For example, a NOC team can move instantly from network monitoring dashboards to incident response screens. A SOC team can switch between surveillance feeds, security alerts, maps, and investigation tools. A control room operator can manage different operational views without interrupting the main video wall setup.

This new capability gives MAWi users a more flexible and practical way to operate video walls in real-time environments, where fast content switching, remote control, and clear situational awareness are essential.
